Using System Monitoring Tools

When the System Administration & Diagnostics application connects to a system, system monitoring start automatically. If it does not start automatically, an error message indicating that advanced system monitoring is inactive appears in the System Connection Header. You must start data updates manually as described below.

To start/activate data updates manually for the active connection:

1. Click (Start monitoring system). After activated, data is refreshed regularly.

2. Do one of the following:

   • Click (Pause data updates) to stop refreshing, or click to resume.

   • Click (Stop monitoring system) to deactivate system monitoring.

   • Click (Refresh data now) to refresh data immediately.

The system monitoring information is displayed in tabs in the navigation area. The content of each tab is comprised of a collection of content controls. The following list shows a list of tabs and available content controls that are discussed in this section:
