IP Resource Usage

The IP Resource Usage content control shows the IP resource data since system boot or since they were last cleared.

To view the IP Resource Usage content control:

In the navigation area, select Resource & device info – IP Resource Usage.

The columns of each table represent IP resource types. Those fields include Total, G.711 µ-law, G.726, G.729, T.38, Caller ID Tx, and Caller ID Rx.

The rows of each table represent the call type that the resource is allocated for. Those fields include Networking, Phone, Emergency, Trunk, UVM, IP Voice Mail, File-Based MOH, and Totals.

The following list shows the forms that are used to diagnose IP resource status:

• Current <resource name> Resources What types of IP resources are allocated to the corresponding devices/phones. The default at system reset is 0 for all fields.

• Maximum The high-water mark for the maximum number of IP resources used along with the corresponding devices/phones since the system was reset or since you manually cleared the statistics.

• 5/20/60-minute average The average usage of IP resources to corresponding devices/phones over the last 5, 20, and 60 minutes. The system estimates these averages based on an exponential-decay, running-average algorithm, so they may vary from the exact averages.

If there are any VOIPs with channel allocation errors, a warning message appears in the content control and a desktop alert appears on the bottom right corner of the screen.

To clear IP resource usage:

Click (Tools), and then select Clear IP resource diagnostics.

To refresh IP resource usage:

Click (Tools), and then select Refresh IP resource diagnostics now.

To see the IP resource details:

Do one of the following:

1. • Double-click a row in the Current tab.

   • Right-click a row, and then select View IP resource details.
