System Alarms

The System Alarms content control displays system error/warning messages and informational alarms in a list. By default, the most recent data appears at the top. When clicking on each of the data entries, additional information is displayed outlining any steps that need to be taken to resolve the error or warning.

You may create custom alarm filters and add them to the My diagnostics tab for quick troubleshooting purposes.

In addition to the list in the System Alarms content control, a summary table is provided with the total number of errors, warnings, and informational warnings in the System Monitoring section.

To view the System Alarms content control:

In the navigation area, select System status – System Alarms.

The following list shows the column descriptions of the System Alarms content control:

To filter the messages by severity:

Select the entries that you want to list. The available options are Critical, Major, Minor, Warning, and Other.

To show active alarms only:

Select the Show active alarms only check box.

To refresh log files:

  1. In the navigation area, select System status – System Alarms.

  2. Click tools.gif (Tools), and then select Refresh log files now.

To delete system alarms:

Do one of the following:

o      Right-click the alarm(s) that you want to delete, and then select Delete selected system alarms.

o      Select the alarm(s) that you want to delete, and then Click tools.gif (Tools), and then select Delete selected system alarms.

To see alarm details:

Do one of the following:

o      Double-click the alarm that you want to see.

o      Right-click the alarm that you want to see, and then select View alarm details.
