Setting Up Automatic Line Balancing (ALB)

To enable ALB for a line:

  1. 3103-03: Loop Length [Lines: Config: Setup: Settings (3103): Loop Length]
    Enter 0 to enable Automatic Line Balancing for the line.
    The system sets up ALB automatically for the line, or you can run the ALB test automatically from telephone programming. See How to Manually Run the ALB Test for more.
    Option Description
    0 Auto. This enables Automatic Line Balancing.
    1 Short loop length.
    2 [Default] Long loop length.
  2. Remember, the line loop length settings and Automatic Line Balancing only apply to analog lines.
