Programming Logging Options for an Application

To program logging options for an application:

Program the following logging options:

1. • Logging Enabled

     Select the check box to enable logging.

      NOTE: If logging is not enabled for the application, the Level and Location options cannot be changed.

   • Logging Level

     Select the logging level you want to use:

     • Basic: Logs the most information. Includes information that is useful for debugging configuration and hardware integration errors.

     • Info: Includes information about changes in application state values and major application events.

     • Error: Includes information about application entrance and exit points and errors detected in software.

     • Critical: Logs the least amount of information. Includes information about only critical failures

     The following table shows the level of information that each logging level logs.

   • LocationSelect the location of the log files to be written. The options are RAMdisk or Flash. The default location is RAMdisk.

1. • Max file size (for Mitel Support users only)

     Type the maximum file size that you want to use for all log files for the application.

   • Max number of filesType the maximum number of files you want to use for the application.

   • Clear log fileSelect Clear to discard all of the log files from both the RAMdisk and flash memory for the application. When a confirmation dialog box appears asking for confirmation to clear the log file, click Yes.
