Locking and Unlocking Your Extension


  • You must have a PIN number programmed for your extension before you can use Extension Locking.

To lock your extension:

  1. Press INTERCOM.
  2. Dial ##5.
    1. While your extension is locked, DND flashes and you hear pulsating dial tone when you press INTERCOM.

To unlock your extension:

  1. Press INTERCOM.
  2. Dial ##5.
    1. You hear pulsating dial tone when you press INTERCOM.
  3. Enter your PIN number + HOLD.

Entering or Changing Your PIN Number

To enter your PIN number (if you don’t have one assigned):

  1. Press INTERCOM.
  2. Dial ##6.
  3. When you see Enter New PIN:
    1. Enter your new PIN number + HOLD.
    2. When entering your PIN number: CLEAR erases your entire entry. REDIAL backspaces over (erases) the last digit entered.
  4. When you see Re-Enter New PIN, confirm your entry by reentering your new PIN number.
  5. When you see NEW PIN ACCEPTED, push Exit.

To change your PIN number (if you already have one assigned):

  1. Press INTERCOM.
  2. Dial ##6.
  3. When you see Enter PIN Code:
    1. Enter your existing PIN number + HOLD.
    2. When entering your PIN number: CLEAR erases your entire entry. REDIAL backspaces over (erases) the last digit entered.
  4. When you see Enter New PIN, enter your new PIN number + HOLD.
  5. When you see Re-Enter New PIN, confirm your entry by reentering your new PIN number.
  6. When you see NEW PIN ACCEPTED, push Exit.

Unlocking an Extension and Erasing It's PIN Number


  • This capability is normally available at extension 301.

To unlock an extension (and clear the extension’s PIN number) at a keyset:

Next: Go to next selection. Prev: Go to previous selection. Select: Select current Option. Back: Back out of current option. Exit: Exit Menu setup.
Menu + 04 Select the Admin Clear PIN Code sub-menu.
  • You must have a PIN number entered for your phone to use this feature.
  Enter PIN Code Enter your own PIN code.
  Next Select to accept your PIN code and enter the Clear Pin sub-menu.
  Back Back up the previous level.
  Clear Pin On Ext Enter the extension to unlock (which also clears its PIN number).
  Next Select the extension.
  Back Back up to the previous level without selecting the extension.
  Yes Clear the PIN number and unlock the extension.
  Cancel Back up to the previous level without clearing the PIN number and unlocking the extension.
