Opening New Window

When a connection is not active, you can activate the connection in a new System Administration & Diagnostics window.

To activate a connection in a new System Administration & Diagnostics window, do one of the following:

• Using the System Connection drop-down list

  1. Click the System Connection drop-down list. The programmed connection choices appear in alphabetical order.

  2. Select the connection that you want to open, and then click (Open in new window).

• Using the Manage System Connections window

  1. Right-click the System Connection drop-down list.

  2. Click Manage system connections. The Manage System Connection window appears.

  3. Select the connection you want to activate, and then right-click and select Open onsite/offsite connection in new window (if the connection is not active) or Open in new window (if only the onsite or offsite connection is programmed).

• Using the Setup menu button

  1. Click (Setup) in the main window, and then select Manage system connections. The Manage System Connection window appears.

  2. Select the connection you want to activate, and then right-click and select Open onsite/offsite connection in new window (if the connection is not active) or Open in new window (if only the onsite or offsite connection is programmed).

This launches a new instance of System Administration & Diagnostics, activating the selected connection. If the Connect to system connection option is enabled in the Options menu, the new instance immediately attempts to connect to the activated connection.
