Advanced Tab

The Advanced tab contains connection and DB Programming settings for all system connections.

To program the Advanced tab:

1. Click (Setup) in the main window, and then select Options. The Options dialog box appears.

2. Select the Advanced tab.

3. Program the following fields:

   • Exclusive connection inactivity timeoutDetermine the maximum time allowed for inactivity when an exclusive (Modem or Remote Configuration) connection is active. When this time expires, you are alerted and if no response within 1 minute, disconnect automatically occurs. The range is 10–120 minutes; the default value is 10 minutes.

   • Remote proxy server connect timeoutDetermine the maximum time allowed for a Remote Configuration connection to be completed This option does not appear if Remote Configuration is not installed on the computer. The range is 30–9999 seconds; the default value is 120 seconds.

   • Show IP portsSelect the check box to display IP ports in the System Administration & Diagnostics application. It is disabled (cleared) by default.

   • LanguageSpecify the language used in DB Programming. The available languages are English (United States) and English (United Kingdom); the default value is English (United States).

   • Read timeoutSet the maximum time allowed for data packets to be received by DB Programming from Call Processing (CP). The available values are .5, 1, 1.5, 2, 5, 10, 15, and 30 seconds; the default value is 5 seconds.

   • Receive buffer size

     Set the size of read buffer for data packets received from CP. The available values are 500,2000,5000,10000, 50000, and 100000 KB; the default value is 10000 KB.

   • Use data compression

     Select the check box to use data compression to speed up the data transfers for DB Programming information going through CP to the Voice Processing computer. It is enabled (selected) by default.

   • Show password warning dialog

     Select the check box to display the pre-v4.0 password warning dialog box when appropriate. It is enabled (selected) by default.

   • Save DB Programming logs

     Select the check-box to save specific DBP connection logs.

      

     

      

     

3. Click OK.
