1813-03: Idle Noise [System: VoIP: Profile (1-4): Settings (1813): Idle Noise]

Use this option to set the level of the artificial background noise injected into the voice portion of the VoIP packet. This creates more natural sounding voice since the conversation doesn't go completely dead (quiet) between bursts of speech. The background noise is a low but consistent sound that lets the callers know the VoIP call is still alive. Setting this value too low creates an unnatural sounding conversation. Setting the Idle Noise too high makes the background sound too loud and detracts from the quality of the call.
