Setting Up Fax Detection for a Call Routing Mailbox

Set up fax detection and routing.

  1. 4222-04: Fax Detection [Voice Mail: Routing Mailboxes: Routing Mailbox: Routing Options (4222): Fax Detection]
    Use this option to enable or disable fax detection for the Call Routing Mailbox.
    • If enabled, the Call Routing Mailbox can detect fax CNG tone.
    Option Description
    No (0) [Default] Disabled.
    Yes (1) Enabled.
  2. 4222-05: Fax Extension [Voice Mail: Routing Mailboxes: Routing Mailbox: Routing Options (4222): Fax Transfer Extension]
    When fax detection is enabled in the previous step, use this option to enter the extension to which an incoming fax should route.
    • When the Call Routing Mailbox detects fax CNG tone, it routes the call to this extension.
    Option Description
    Digits Extension number. [Default] = no destination defined.
    Yes (1) Enabled.

Set up fax detection and routing.

    Use this option to enable or disable fax detection for the Directory Dialing Mailbox.
    • If enabled, the Directory Dialing Mailbox can detect fax CNG tone.
    Option Description
    No (0) [Default] Disabled.
    Yes (1) Enabled.
