Setting Up Extension Hunting to Voice Mail

1. Set the hunt type and destination.

  1. 2115-01: Hunt Type Stations: Config: Options: Hunt/Overflow (2115): Hunt Type:
    Use this option to set the extension's hunt type.
    Option Description
    0 [Default] None.
    1 Ring No Answer Line.
    2 Busy/Ring No Answer Line.
    3 Busy/Ring No Answer All Calls.
    4 Busy Line.
    5 Uniform Call Distribution (UCD) (Not used for this feature.)
  2. 2115-01: Hunt Destination Stations: Config: Options: Hunt/Overflow (2115): Hunt Master/Destination:
    Use this option to assign the hunt destination for the extension.
    • The hunt destination should be the IntraMail master number (700).
    Option Description
    None [Default] None (entered by pressing CLEAR).
    Digits Extension number.

2. Check the following timers that affect Extension Hunting to Voice Mail.

  1. 1603-01: Transfer Recall Timer [System: Timers: Features: Recall (1603): Transfer Recall]
    This timer sets how long a transferred outside call or a UTRF from the Automated Attendant rings an idle extension before routing to the extension’s mailbox.
    Option Description
    0 Disabled.
    1-9999 Seconds. [Default] = 20 seconds.
  2. 1601-02: DIL No Answer Timer [System: Timers: Features: Incoming (1601): DIL No Answer]
    This timer sets how long a DIL waits at an extension before routing to the extension’s mailbox.
    • This timer does not apply to hunt type 4.
    Option Description
    0 Disabled.
    1-9999 Seconds. [Default] = 15 seconds.
  3. 1601-03: Call Forward No Answer Timer [System: Timers: Features: Incoming (1601): CFWD No Answer]
    This timer sets how long a transferred outside call or UTRF from the Automated Attendant waits at a busy or DND extension before routing to the extension’s mailbox.
    • This timer does not apply to hunt types 2 and 4.
    Option Description
    0 Disabled.
    1-9999 Seconds. [Default] = 10 seconds.
  4. 4224-03: Screened Transfer Timeout [Voice Mail: Routing Mailboxes: Routing Mailbox: Directory Options (4224): STRF Timeout]
    This timer sets how long an STRF from the Automated Attendant rings an idle extension before prompting the caller to leave a message.
    Option Description
    0 Immediate recall..
    1-255 Seconds. [Default] = 15 seconds.
